Wife is CF carrier

Hi Medical Community. My question is,if the person is carrier CF(Generaly DF508 carriefs are symptom free).Mean only the wife is carrier ,the husband is free of CF at all.What is the possibility the child to be born with CF(in %).Thanks

"the husband is free of CF at all."  It would be necessary to know exactly what test was used to determine the husband's CF status to accurately assess risk.  

Some labs test for only 32 mutations; some test for as many as 97, but very few test the whole CF gene sequence, and there are thousands of possible mutations.  Any of these tests would reduce the risk to less than 1%, but how much lower than 1% could only be determined by knowing what kind of CF screening was done on the husband.  A genetic counselor would be able to review the specific risks based on the couple's background and test results.

HGB Elect-Negative
Husband-free with test for 97 mutations
