gene for Krabbe's diease
I read online that I can have a blood test to see if I carry the gene for Krabbe's disease.  How is this done and where can I have it done?  How long do the results take?

Search for a Genetics Center in your area, or nearby.  Tell them you would like to have genetic testing done, emphasizing "Krabbe's Disease".  I don't know what that disease is or if they can test for it, but they should be able to answer that.  They can also test for many other chromosome abnormalities that might cause problems during pregnancy.
