You need to meet with a geneticist to determine if this has a genetic factor.

Hi,

Not all situations like this are related to genetic problems or abnormalities but I would certainly ask your doctor who will be reviewing the report what the possible causes for these concerns are from.  Low or no amniotic fluid is a problem that affects typical pregnancies, so it may not be related to genetics but usually low amniotic fluids are often indicators of a baby not urinating (which is what amniotic fluid is made up of) or using their kidneys.  And if your ultrasound gave indication that the baby bladder wasn't visualized, this would certainly be the reason why there is no/low amniotic fluid.  (They are often related/synonymous.)
I would hope that if your doctor suspected a genetic problem, there would have been other identifying "soft markers" to suggest getting a karyotype done (which is the snapshot of the genetic structure to see if all the genes are okay).  In order for you to get proper genetic testing done you will either need a Amniocentesis (which is 99% correct - the 1% is left for paperwork mistakes or mix-ups or testing the mothers cells instead of the fetus which rarely happens.), CVS while pregnant or wait until the baby is born to have blood testing done.
I sincerely hope that everything will be fine.  I am not sure how far along you are so some of these tests are not performed until after 16 weeks gestation.
In addition to anything I have mentioned, please keep in mind, that while I or others may have extensive knowledge in many areas, you should always seek professional medical advice from your own physician, as it pertains to medical conditions or concerns.
Good luck, and if you have any other questions that I can help you with, please feel free to message me directly.

Sincerely,

it COULD be that since there is no fluid that's why  they can't visualize the urinary bladder.

Depending on if your willing to terminate I suggst the Amnio which as Sandi said its done around 16-17 w but can be done more near to birth.  I had one with each baby.
