sickle cell hip pain

hi Dr,
I'm a male that suffers from sickle cell anemia.
I now have pain on my left hip that my normal medication
just won't shift. it is belived that this is to be expected for
sickle cell sufferers. i mostly get relief from doing a couple
of hours on an exercise bike but, this has not proved to be
a permanent solution.
I kindly ask for possible reliefs to this problem especially
non-surgical solutions. appreciative regards.

We recommend that you speak with your physician regarding your symptoms and that your typical treatment is not effective in helping your pain. Your doctor may want to examine you before prescribing a new treatment. If you need help finding a sickle cell specialist in your area, you can someone at the Sickle Cell Disease Association of America website.
If you haven't already, you may also benefit from meeting with a medical geneticist, who is a doctor that specializes in genetic conditions such as sickle cell. You can find a medical geneticist at the American College of Medical Genetics website.
