has anyone had a successful pregnancy after having a chromosome problem? I am 43 and had to terminate my pregnancy at 11 weeks as they discovered trisomy 18. We are devastated especially because at my age we felt that was our last chance has anyone had a similar experience and a good outcome

I have been a OB/GYN nurse for 34 years. I have been working in a office setting 13 years and educate many pregnant women. Our practice is large and I see many women over the age of 40 having healthy children. Risks do increase  as you age but definately women do have healthy childre after having one with trisomy 18. My prayers are with you and pray for a successful pregnancy. Michaelle
