Gout

Hi,

I've had periodic gout attacks to my toe.  What foods should I avoid and what food are okay to eat?  Also, I've been thinking about taking Whey Protein - is this okay for me to take?

Thanks!

Everyone is buzzing about Cherry Juice concentrate helping gout.  Try to find a pure version , not a cherry juice cocktail.  It alleviates symptoms with no side effects.

It shouldn't be a problem unless you are eating copious amounts of them.

Look up on purines in food and this will give you a general guideline to follow. Here is an excellent site that will give you some nutritional guide lines

You should also keep a food log and see if other foods cause flare ups.
