Death from T-Cell NHL

Death from T-Cell NHL

Is there anyone out here that has lost a child from cancer, to be specific, T-cell Non--Hodgkins Lymphoma. My son was diagnosed when he was 8 and died when he was 17. I am so thankful for the 9 extra years we had. Please do not take me wrong or think me cruel. When I hear a new treatment available that is promising, I get angry and think why so long? I think back to what Clay said during the last 3 months of chemo (experimental). If I take this now, even though it makes me so sick and almost kills me, it may help others years later. Someone had to do the same years ago for me to have been able to have lived this long. This reminds me how brave he was and that he truly was helping other that would get this horrible monster. That is why I support anything to help find a cure and support research. Back to my original question Anyone lost a child to NHL?

I have not lost a child...but wanted to offer my condolences and prayers for you and your family.  I worked in a child care facility and we lost a 7 year to a diffuse pontine glioma.  here is her website...

or

Talking with her mom might help the both of you.

Kind regards....

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. Some might think that after almost 11 years, I should go on with my life. I have gone on with my liffe. Is complicated. Now trying also to help 22 and 26 y/o continue to deal with this loss. 22 y/o will discuss but 26 y/o doesn't. Keeps feelings inside, I know this is not good just from my own experience. As I said on forums before, I think, this all seemed unfair, loosing him and all. I am reminded- I didn't loose him, I know where he is. We received so much support, love and caring from other families and staff. By giving back and reaching out and letting others know we care- then what my child and our family experienced was not in vain--it actually prepared me, for what I believe is my mission as I travel along life,s journey. Didn't mean to be so wordy. In case you haven't discovered, I am a motormouth with a mind goes in circles. It may go in circles but I am a people person and and hope I can have a positive effect on those I come in contact. I deal with grief at times with humor. Many times a family member will tell me that can't remember when she last saw momma smile must less laugh. Whew!  Thanks to you for caring enough to respond.
