I need some help

My sister joined this forum last week, but she posted in the journal section, not in the forum.  She really needs to talk to others who have experienced the loss of a child, particularly due to homicide.  I led her to this sight and hope you guys can help her.  Her nickname is missingamy, and here is her original post.  God bless any of you who answer her.


I am missing my daughter Amy with such intensity. I feel overwhelmed by my feelings of sadness and despair. Is there anyone who has a similar experience with the loss of a child by murder?

I'm having trouble coping with the loss of my son, it was accidental...by murder, I don't know what I'd do..I'm sure somebody will come along in here with some advice...can yu check with the local police and see about support groups, or perhaps your doctor would know of one, or grief counseling...

    I lost my sister to murder 8 months ago she was 37!!!



The pain I feel is nothing like no other pain ,

There is not  a day that I don't cry its so hard




Is there a support group for homicide over there that she can go to?

down here in OZ  we have a support group and I have been going to  meetings and seeing a counsellor they also have 24/7 phone counselling for those nights that you just cant sleep....

to talk to others that have walked down that road is so very different as they know everything that you are going through

they know the pain that you are feeling.....

Like Jim said the police would know if there is a Homcide support group.
maybe you could call them for your sister and find out...
