Too much loss for one person

Too much loss for one person

I should really share my story before I ask for help.

Eight months ago, My grandparents and my brother (15) we're involved in car accident that killed my brother on impact. My Grandfather was air-lifted to a better hospital and my grandmother survived with non-life threating injuries.
Over the last 7 months, my grandfathers doctors informed us he had severe brain damage, he had menegitis, he had fluid building up around his brain. He wouldn't be coming out of his severe injuries. On April 22, my family removed his tubes and medications. He died on May 1st.

I feel like I can't breathe because of everything. I'm an emotional wreck. I feel like a can't function. Work is impossible, my relationship is suffering and I can barely drive myself to the grocery store.

I'm currently seeing a psychologist, however, he doesn't seem to understand me and my complicated family matters. I just need help, advice, something. I need someone to talk too.

I to have felt the pain of life and still do today. First let me say that you asking for help and advice and looking for someone to talk to is the first step in getting through this. It is extreamly hard to loose loved ones so young and then have another loss. So how do you deal with it and heal? Everyone is diffrent and react diffrent, and you seem to be very smart and open about how you feel and that is a sign you will get through all this, but the road will be difficult but you can do it. A psychologist is great to see but he/she cannot cure or return you to life as it was, but their help will guide you. If he does not seem to understand you or connect with you, find another. Do not feel bad to look for another. Sometimes all you need is a person to lean on and just to listen. The best advice I can give you is to talk talk talk do not keep it all in, it will only make things worse. My heart goes out to you, I wish you the best. Please Let me know if I can help in any way.

First let me say, I am sorry for your losses. I too have dealt with multiple lose and it is very difficult to get through. For me, I let myself drown in pity for a while, but then I have to tell myself that I can choose to focus on the one day in time when they passed away, or I can choose to focus on all of the days that they lived. I know it is hard to do that, but in time, you will be able to move on, just don't think that it has to be done on a time scale.
