CT Scan and Ultrasound and Exam

Hi,
I had a CT Scan last week that showed I had an enlarged uterus and a possible fibroid and ovarian cyst.  Since I had a partical hysteritomy two years ago and have no uterus, this got me very concern.  I made an appt with my OBGYN Dr and he said he laughed at the CT Scan results and ordered an Ultrasound.  I had that done this afternoon, but havn't gotten any news yet on the results.
My question is, if the ultrasound shows nothing, does that mean the CT Scan was completely wrong or is there something in there that is unrelated to OB?  Should I be concern and see a different doctor?
I am a complete basket case, and wish these doctors would give me more information...

I'm afraid that I might have had the same reaction that your doctor did--to laugh.
CT scans are often misinterpreted, and I don't think that there is anything to worry about.
I also would have ordered an ultrasound--ultrasounds are much better at evaluating female anatomy.  If you were my patient, I would believe the ultrasound results, and dismiss the CT scan results.

Since I don't have the ultrasound results, I can't comment on those--but hope the results are good when you do get them--in the meantime--don't worry!

So you are saying there may not be anything there at all?  Wouldn't it show up on the CT scan that there was no uterus?  I still haven't heard back from my doctor, although they are good for not getting back to me in a reasonable time frame...
