Clots in period and strange goings on

I had a diagnostic laparoscopy 4 weeks ago to find out the cause of pelvic pain. Nothing was found so they gave me mycrogynon to see if the pains would stop if I didnt have a period and release an egg, I had 3 packs to take straight after each other without a break, so far I have taken 30. My period should have been around 18th july but obviously not had one due to pills. About a week ago i started getting cramps and pins and needles in arms and legs so yesterday, doc changed my pill. these probs seem to have gone slightly but now ive another prob. Since monday I had slight bleeding which doc said was normal but today ive had bad abdo pain and more bleeding and 3 large fleshy blood clots. I understand this is usual on a period but is it also normal if I shouldnt be having a period? My usual period is only normally 3 days but now ive been light bleeding for 6 days and its getting heavier? Is this normal?

Hi!
I'm sorry for the delay in response--was very ill for awhile
I'm sure that the bleeding was caused by the changes in the hormones/pills.  The amount of bleeding you are having suggests that there may have been a build up within the uterine lining--eg. maybe your light periods are not cleaning everything out.

Once the bleeding stops, it will be a great idea to see how the continuous pills work for you.  Taking them in this way should prevent another build up of tissue within the uterus and may help your pain.

Hope So!

Good luck!
