Extreme fatigue during beginning of menses

I get an other-wordly fatigue at the start of my period--the first day or two I am so fatigued I can't do anything. I have a heavy period & endometriosis, although in the past tests for anemia and/or iron-deficiency were negative. What could cause this fatigue and is there anything I can do to prevent it?

Thank you, Doctor. I'm already taking an SSRI, but I'll ask my physician whether there's anything else I can do.
