i had same problem for a couple of years. even though i am very young. after my first m/c, i started having this problem of frequent urination. it was very irritating, and affecting my everyday life. not to mention, i saw many many doctors, urologist, they kept giving me anti biotics, and treating me for UTI eventhough the tests for UTI were negative. I did not have ANY other problem. So years later, my husband discussed it with his doctor, and he smiled and said..."you know my friend, our brain controls our blader, if we let the bladder control itself, it'll go whenever even a little bit of urine collected, so your wife needs to re-train her bladder" it sounds really simple, but guess what? it did work. I re-trained my bladder. at first I would go every 30 mintues even if I didn't need to. Then i increased the intervals, and didn't go even if I needed to. within a week, i had gained control over my bladder, and its fine since then.

but I can imagine if u have some fibroids, they might put some extra weight on ur bladder and make it excerete the urine. see ur gyn, and if there's something going on with fibroids... good luck

Do you have any other symptoms.  I did the exact same thing for years.  My PCP kept treating me as if I had an UTI (even though I didn't).  Then it progressed to become very painful. I have Interstitial Cystitis.

Do you urinate a little or a lot?  Do you have pain?   I would talk with your PCP & tell him that you want to go to a Urologist.  If I hadn't seen a specialist I'd still be in pain & peeing every 30 minutes.

I also have your symptoms but I am only 24 years old. I was thinking it may have something to do with my hytpothyroid-but in your case, you're not hypothyroid are you?

You may also want to consider if you are taking any new medications.  There are some meds that can cause your symptoms.  When was the last time at the OB/GYN?  Having a fibroid in the uterus will also cause frequent urination, but usually affects you at night as well.  You should ask if an ovarian fibroid can have the same affect on you and be checked again if it's been awhile.
