HELP ASAP PLEASE, THANKYOU

Hi All,
I have a problem with my periods, october i had period which was heavy and blood clotted, i also had very sore breasts all through that period and they were still sore upto this months cycle, which this cycle started 6 days early and the breast pain went but had really bad abdominal pains, it was very light red blood very heavy and clotted again.

i am very concerned as i am only 37yrs old and my periods have been spot on by every 30days, i did have I.V.F treatment in febuary this year but negative, my periods were up and down for three months from march to may but been ok since and upto to last month and this month.

I am not sure if i miss carried this month coming on early but i am worried and waiting to see my doctor, but if you could tell me what it could be and i will get doctor to check me fully.

Thankyou for taking time to read my problem. :-)

Hi!
Not sure why your question hasn't been answered by now, but here goes.
Sorry to hear that your periods have been so bad!
If you were my patient, I would firstly run a pregnancy test.  That is always a good idea anytime periods have gone awry.
After the pregnancy test I would very likely proceed to ultrasound after a complete exam.  Obtaining cultures for infection is not a bad idea too.
From there, the treatment would depend upon the results and your wishes.
Many times bleeding is controlled nicely by oral contraceptives.  In your case, since it sounds like you want to be pregnant, a short three month course might be in order.  Sometimes I have also used a short 10-14 day course of progesterone to "clean out the lining" of the uterus.
Glad to hear that you are seeing your own doctor and hope this helps!
