Hi!
There are quite a number of possible causes of a fetal demise at this stage of pregnancy.  One possibility is a birth defect, or genetic problem.  Infection is another possibility.  Very often, and frustratingly, no cause can be determined.  A loss at this stage can be quite devastating, and I am sorry if you have suffered one.  If I had more information, I could possibly be more specific.
