How soon after implantation bleeding does a blood test show postitive?

Hi.  My last normal period was on 9/5/07.  My cycle is normally 27 days.  My husband and I had unprotected sex on the weekend of 9/15/07...a lot.  I started spotting on 9/28/07 and I figured it was my period, but it was really light and only lasted two days (not to mention 3 - 4 days early).  My periods always last at least five days.  About a week before that I did have some lower abdominal cramping.  Anyway, right when the bleeding stopped, I started to have pregnancy symptoms.  Sensitive, swollen boobs, I could and still smell everything around me, nausea, increased hunger and bloated belly. On 10/12/07, I got major cramps.  My entire stomach just ached, especially my lower stomach.  It felt really heavy too.  That lasted for about three days and has now subsided.  My nipples are getting larger and my breasts are really heavy and sensitive.  I have taken four HPT's, including today 10/17/07, and all have turned up negative.  Is it just too soon to test or could there be something else wrong with me?  I have a doctor's appointment next Monday, but now I am wondering if I should wait a little longer.  Oh, another thing.  This is pretty personal, but my husband even told me I "feel" different when we have sex.  From the 28th to the 12th, I felt (I could tell the difference too) really "tight."  After the cramping I had, my husband told me I was more open and wet.  Whatever information you could give me would be helpful.  Thanks.

My hubby and I are TTC. I believe I was ovulating around 12/1 and we had intercourse over a few days leading up to this date.  On 12/8 when I wiped after urinating, I saw some red "fresh" blood. Only a few wipes and it was gone, nothing alarming. But I've NEVER had that before or ever spotted inbetween periods. I tested neg on an HPT this morning (12/11) but could it be that I am pregnant and it's just to early to show, even on an "early EPT" type of test?

Hello,

I would suggest repeating the HPT a week after the initial negative result.  And even If the HPT remains negative, given your symptoms, get a blood test at your ob/gyn's office.  This should make the diagnosis definitively.

Best wishes to you and your husband.
