I am pregnant?

Last month i had late periods but i tested for pregnancy and it came out negative..but i am confused as this month also my periods have been delayed so i tested for pregnancy and it shows very light lines so does this mean i am pregnant or it can be due to some other reason?

Hi!
There are very few things that cause a false positive pregnancy test, so you probably are pregnant.  If you were my patient, I would recommend coming in to the office for a quantitative beta HCG.  This is a blood test that shows how much hormone is in your blood.  The level can be followed to determine if the pregnancy is healthy and developing normally.
