IUD Pulled Out

I accidentally pulled out my Merina IUD (strings were close and a little pull - there is was... oops!).  I have no pain, only slight discomfort... my cervix feels a little weird (not smooth all over).  Could I have caused any damage?!?  I'm too embarrassed to see doc.

The Mirena was probably falling out on its own, and its probably a good thing that you removed it!  I really doubt that you did any damage, because this is the way they are removed in the office.  I do think that you should mention it to your MD  ( you can just say it fell out--that DOES happen).  You can probably get it replaced for free if you want another one.
