What is the Medical Assistants role during the procedure?

Hello,

Each office may have the medical assistance take on a variety of tasks during this procedure.  Some may simply hand the physician instruments, while others may do that and help set up equipment, position the patient.  

If you are concerned about the role of any team member during a procedure you should ask before hand who will be in the room with you and what they will be doing and when.
