Laparoscopic ovarian drilling

Hi dr B,i been ttc for 2years now and my dr did a lap on me on 17 nov and i was already late on my period for 2 months,so i was wondering when to expect a period?,and am i going to ovulate before getting a period?.and if i would be able to conceive without any meds help since my dr thinks my left ovary is sensitive(tendency of developing cysts).tubes are clear and she drilled my right ovary.thanx.

Hi!
If  you were my patient, I would induce a period by prescribing progesterone for you.  Since you have had ovarian drilling, there is a decent chance that you will start having normal regular cycles.  If you do have regular cycles ( 21-31 days ) then your chances of conceiving without medications are good.  If your cycles remain irregular, you may need some mild fertility meds.  I like Femara, especially in the case of patients who a prone to cysts.
