Late period or pregnancy????

I had a partial molar pregnancy with a D&C in July 2010. Since my D&C my periods have been irregular (27-32 day cycles). I was cleared to try again. My last period was December 25th. I had pink spotting once on the 19th of Jan. On Jan 24th I had bad cramps and back pain with no period (I never got cramps w/o a period before). On Jan 25th the cramps/back pain continued with a small amount of light brown spotting. It is now Jan 30th (Day 37) and my abdominal cramps have stopped, but my back pain is still  really bad if not worse. The brown discharge is still there, but very light. Pregnancy test is negative. Could it still be a pregnancy? Misscarriage? or a late period? Very Confused.

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would bring you in for an ultrasound.  I would want to rule out an accumulation of fluid in the uterus which might be due to scarring of the cervix.
Dilating the cervix in the office can often solve this problem if found.
I would then want to discuss how to help you ovulate more regularly -- I prefer to use a medication called Femara.
