My lab results help please

Hi I am 26years old I had to have a hysterectomy last year they removed my uterus and cervix due to cancer, and were able to get it all out!! Lately I have been having a lot of ups and downs emotionally and I am tired all the time. So I went in to the doctor and they tested my hormones every thing was in the normal range except the following:

Testosterone 55
Free Testosterone 1.42
%Free Testo 2.6
Sex HB Globulin  16.8

My doctor is out till Monday I was just hoping to get a little knowledge on what these test mean if anyone can help that would be great. Thanks

Hi!
The normal range for testosterone varies from laboratory to laboratory--so its hard to interpret your results without knowing the normal values for your lab.  I am going to guesstimate that your values are on the low side, given your symptoms.   Testosterone is the "male" hormone.  In women it is only produced by the ovaries.  I presume, given your age, that they saved your ovaries.  Any time a woman has had a hysterectomy though, the ovaries don't seem to work quite as well they normally would.  A low testosterone level could make you feel tired and lethargic and have a low sex drive.
Low estrogen levels could do the same thing. One other possibility is a mild form of depression--some of the newer mild antidepressants such as Cymbalta can work very well for symptoms similar to yours.
I hope this helps!
