Hi!
I think tiredincali is giving you bad advice!  I definitely DO recommend going through with the colposcopy!  What I would NOT do is any biopsies.  I always want to check my patient's cervices to be sure there is no cervical cancer present, but unless I suspect cancer, I NEVER do biopsies.  Biopsies in pregnancy cause heavy bleeding, and could lead to miscarriage--especially an endocervical curretage.
The HPV will not harm your baby, and you can deliver vaginally .
Good luck!

I would NOT go through with the colposcopy until after the baby is born. My suggestion would be talk to your ob/gyn and see if it absolutely has to be done immediately and if there is anyway you can wait until after the baby is born. You may not be able to deliver vaginally but it may be better than doing it now and risk having a miscarriage.  I also have to have a colposcopy done but I am not pregnant. Nor do I know if I can ever have anymore children. So I would definitely talk to your ob/gyn first and if you don't agree with him/her get a second opinion!! Hope all goes well and please keep us informed on how it turns out!!
