Possible side effect of my bc?

Possible side effect of my bc?

Hi all,

I recently started taking SeasoniqueLo in April. I also started using the white Dial soap (the Spring Water kind). Recently, whenever I take a bath I noticed that I have a burning sensation in the area of my genitals. I wash that area last, and quickly get out of the shower and pat it dry with the towel. Last night while shaving, about halfway through it started burning again from the soap. I have gotten a yeast infection before from using scented soaps so I know not to use it but I brought this soap because it was all that Walmart had at the time. Plus I just started having this problem a few weeks ago and figured it was from the new birth control. I am not having any white discharge which is usually symptomatic of a yeast infection but sometimes I do have whte discharge that is bubbly (not the cheesy-like discharge of yeast). It also burns if I pee in the few hours following my bath. It may have an itchy feeling during the daytime and I try not to rub/scratch it because that may only make it worse. Could this be from the new SeasoniqueLo I'm using? Please help, cause it is hard to explain this without the discharge when it comes to not having sex with my fiancee.

Thanks.

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you to use a very gentle soap such as Neutrogena in that area,or no soap at all, as those tissues are often quite sensitive.  I would also test for yeast and bacterial vaginosis.  The bubbly discharge can be a symptom of BV.  The thicker discharge is more consistent with yeast. I would also rule out a urinary tract infection.  Finally, oral contraceptives can reduce the amount of natural lubrication, and you might find that a lubricant would be helpful when having intercourse.
This is one other hint:  Crisco is very soothing when applied to the vulvar tissues and doesn't cause any side effects.  (No--I'm not crazy!)
Good luck!

Thank you!
I find that every time I switch soaps I get this problem! I'll head to the store and pick up some Neutrogena today! Wow, just when I thought Crisco couldn't be used to anything else...it surprises me yet again lol!

Again, thank you!
