Post op bleeding/Prostap SR

Hi, i had endometriosis ablation and ovarian cyst removal done on 30th may, i had dreadful bleeding until the 8th june, it stopped and i started to fel better however i had stabbing pains last night got up this moring and its started again however it was very dark brown for about an hour and now its heavy bright red like before, i had prostap sr injection 10th june starting treatment for ivf, im wondering should i have the pain and bleeding or not?

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that it is not uncommon for bleeding such as you are describing to follow treatment with prostap sr.  Depending upon the time in the cycle in which it is given it can trigger bleeding.  I would recommend that you contact your RE and advise him/her that you are bleeding and ask for recommendations.
It is possible to stop bleeding with hormones if necessary.
IF you are bleeding through more than one large maxi pad per hour for more than 2-3 hours in a row, you may need to be evaluated in the emergency room.

Hi, thank you so much for responding, i will give my RE a call, its so heavy i can hardly keep up with changing, what type of things could i be looking at that is going on, i really dont know if its surgery related or the prostap or maybe a mix of both?
