Pregnant after 2 M/C's...What do I do now?

I am pregnant for my 5th time. I have two children and have suffered 2 M/C's within 8 months of each other. The most recent was in Feb. 08. I was 6w3d and 5w2d with each pregnancy when it occured. I have just gotten 2 positive home pregnancy tests. I took them at 10dpo and my period is/was set to arrive on Sunday. (This makes me almost 4wks) My question is based on history, what tests should I expect done or ask to be done to ensure this pregnancy is healthy? I understand that if a miscarriage is set to happen, there is nothing doctors can do to stop it, but is there any precautions that can be taken?

Thank you!

Hello,

Unfortunately, no test or specific action taken or not taken will likely play a role in whether your successfully carry this pregnancy.  Most miscarriages are due to chromosomal anomalies that occur spontaneously.  The fact pregnancy works out as much as it does is truly a miracle.  Whatever happens count the two blessing you already have.

Best regards,
