Right lower abd. pain

Right lower abd. pain

Hi, I've been having a right lower abd. pain for about a week or so, and it radiates to my lower back and down to my leg. I usually get this pain just before getting my menstrual cycle and it is relieved emmediatley after I start. well this time the pain persist. I do have a history of ovarian cyst. I saw my doctor and she orderd an ultrasound because she thought it was symptoms of kidney stones. The results came back negative. I have scheduled an appointment with my OB-GYN, but it isn't till July 9th. This pain is really bothersome, should this be something of great concern or should I seek medical attention before my appointment?

Hello,

It depends upon the severity of your pain.  If it is getting worse and not responding to tylenol or motrin, or heating pads, call your doctor's office to see if you can be seen sooner, or make a trip to your nearest emergency/urgent care department.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing

Thank you for responding to my question. I did see my OB-GYN and he says that I have endomitritis and also developed a lump on my right axilary and he found it to be a cyst. He put me on antibiotics for the endomitritis and as for the cyst he wants to wait and see if after getting my cycle it goes away.

                Thank You,
