Risk of multiple pregnnancy

I am 27 yrs old And this month was my first clomid one. I did ultrasound on 13th day of my cycle and found 8follicles are there and 7 are ready to ovulate. My doctor asked to skip this cycle due to risk of multiple pregnancy . Is there any way to get pregnant in this cycle with one healthy baby

Ideally, you would have egg retrieval with transfer of one embryo back.  In the future IVF may be the way to go for you if you respond so well to Clomid.  You could try natural intercourse, but you are at high risk for ovarian hyperstimulation and a multiple pregnancy.  IF you do conceive--notify your doctor RIGHT AWAY!
If you are not working with a reproductive endocrinologist, you probably ought to be!
It will be frustrating to let all those pretty follicles "go", but a higher order multiple pregnancy is not the way to go either!
The good news is, you have a pretty decent chance of having a child once the MDS find the right med/protocol for you!

Hi Dr,
Thanks for the reply.I am worried that doctor who did ultrasound said they may put me in birth control pills for next few months if all 8 eggs do not ovulate! Do I need to go BC pills as its high time for me to have a kid . I am so depressed
