Tubal clamp fell off can I still get pregnant?

Tubal clamp fell off can I still get pregnant?

Last year a clamp fell off and the doctor took one side out. She said I could get pregnant but most likely it will be a tubal pregancy. I got my clamps at the age of 21 but now tht im 27 it fell off by it self. My husband and I want to have a baby we only have one child is it possible for me to have a baby? And what would better my chances?

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would first do an HSG (hysterosalpingogram) that is a dye study to see if your tubes are open or blocked.  If your tube is already open, there is a chance for pregnancy.  If both tubes are blocked, there are two options.  The first is to consider a tubal reversal surgery. This might be possible in your case, since the Clips don't damage much of the tube.  Alternatively, you could consider IVF. At your age, your chances should be quite good of conceiving another child(ren).
Good luck!
