Hi,

I suffer with extremely heavy and painful periods every month which can last up to 2 weeks and they will be continuous bleeding for the first week at a minimum.  At the start of each period, I would be wakened by serious cramping.  I will take 2 painkillers which usually take about 3 hours to kick in or work but by that time, I will have rolled around bed/floor in pain, gone thru 1 - 2 hours of hot and cold sweats and sometimes with the pain I would be vomiting and diarrohea at the same time!!! I really want to know what is up with me cos this is not normal.  No one else I know seems to even believe that I go thru this every month.  This 3 hour ritual has only occurred in last 2 years. Even my dr at home doesnt believe me... About a year ago, a visiting dr put me on Provera to help treat endometris but it caused hyperpigmentation on my face and so the dr took me off it because of this..  The medication did work but because of the side effect i had to get off it.

I also am 5 foot and only 6 stone and I cant put weight on even if I ate everything in front of me.

And I also suffer with a trembling/shaking left and right hand. Left hand being the worst.

I dont know if these are all linked or if they are seperate.  Can you please shed some light on what is wrong with me and if there is any resolution to this happening.

I hope i have covered everything.

My wife has vainal wounds that have reached near the cervix now. I discovered this when we went to have our first child. The doctor was to induce laboras she had high pressure. So when wanted to insert the cartheta, he discovered that the wounds were near the cervix, so we opted for Caeseran Section to have our baby so that the baby could not be affected. Upon talking with the doctor, he told me that she has wounds as a result of viral infection from sexual activity in the past.
I did talk to my wife and she told me that she had the same wounds 12 years back and had undergone laser treatment. She discovered the wounds last in her third month of pregnancy last year. I have now become so worried that she might have infected me. I have never elt anything funny in my private parts but since the disaclosure last week, I have been feeling funny (perhaps its psychological - hope so!). The question is, can vaginal wounds infect me since I had sex several times with my wife after her third month of pregnancy? Please help.

Hello,

Since I don't know why (the indication) your girlfriend will receive laser treatment I can't comment on what it will entail.  If you want to know more I suggest you discuss this with her, and if she is agreeable, her physician.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
