anticardiolipin question

Hi, I am a 31 year old female. Husband (30 years old) and I have been trying to conceive for 18 months. I started seeing an RE and have undergone bloodwork, HSG, laparoscopy (revealed MINIMAL endo), 6 IUI (3 medicated cycles) and one failed IVF/ICSI.  My husband's semen analyses have all been normal except for morphology 0% normal Kruger test.  My RE seems think this is fine. Our IVF/ICSI attempt gave way to 10 fertilized embryos (4 excellent and 6 good). We put in 3 and nothing. My doc felt that we should have gotten and still can get pregnant. However, I feel each attempt has resulted in failure to implant. With my supsicion I requested Factor V and immune/antibody testing and the only thing that has come back is a level 11 for anticardiolipin ImG. My doc recommended that take baby aspirin for the next treatment. Stated also that this may not be cause for failed pregnancy, however I feel that this could be it. Perhaps clotting has caused the embryo to not attach to the uterine lining.  Hopefully for our FET (frozen embryo transfer in July, the baby aspirin wil
l do the trick.  After I receive a BFP and am pregnant, he will do the blood work again and see if the IgM levels rise.
Do you think that this level of 11 could actually cause implantation failure? Also, do you feel that the 0% morphology has failed natural conception to take place? I have always felt I would need ICSI with IVF, yet when the first attempt failed I was devastated. I truly felt that was the issue.... now knowing I could have a slightly elevated IgM level, perhaps thats the missing piece to my infertility puzzle.
Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

I think you have been counseled wisely.  I'd leave the question of the quality of your husband's semen analysis up to your RE.  Regarding the elevated anticardiolipin ab, see what the repeat level shows.  When this has an impact on pregnancy it usually results in early recurrent miscarriages as opposed to failed implantation.  That said, aspirin won't hurt things so all you can do is hope for the best.  I don't have much else to add other than to say good luck.
