bleeding after birth

  I went to the health dept. and got birthcontrol about 2 yrs ago. They gave me Ortho Tri-Cyclen. I was fine my first 2 months on it, then when i went back to get more I started bleeding every 2-3 wks. They changed my pill to Lo-Ovral where I was not supposed to have a period but every 3 months and I was bleed every other week. I ended up getting pregnate and my pregnacy went very good.
  
  I had a healthy baby boy 6 1/2 months ago. I got the 10 yr. IUD birthcontrol 8-10 wks after I had him. My first 2 months I didnt bleed, then I started spotting here and there. I have had my period sence about the middle of Nov. and it is now Jan. . The  doctor told me when I didn't have  my period it was because I was not straightened out after having my son and it could take a while. Now my bleeding is like I just gave birth yesterday..I have  been having to wear 2 pads + a tampoon and i still leak..So is the doctor right about not being straightened out or is it something else?

If your bleeding continues to be abnormal you should be evaluated for it.  I suggest you discuss these concerns with your physician who knows you best.
