cervix question

What does it mean when your cervix is low and hard 4 days after ovulation then the next day which would be 5days after ovulation it is high and soft?LMP was on Sept1 to Sept 3 I started 1st round of clomid on Sept 4 and took my last pill on Sept 8 I ovulated on Sept 15 I checked my cervix on Sept 19 and it was low and hard then on Sept 20 it was high and soft my cervical mucus (cm) is a thick whiteish color(sorry tmi)my next period is due around Sept 28 I have a doctor appt on Sept 27 with my ob/gyn I was just wondering what could this mean? Thank You!

Hello,

I don't think it means anything.  The cervical stroma does not change in a way that one can perceive by digital palpation during the menstrual cycle.  The cervical mucous can change (thicken or thin) in response to Progesterone levels, but again, one would not be able to appreciate this by touch or color.  What you see is probably normal vaginal discharge, and what you describe about the cervix will have no bearing on whether you conceive or not.  I would leave the cervical exams to your physician.
