crab lice treatment

I used Quellada-M LiquidLiquid which contains: Active Ingredient: MalathionMalathion topical 0.5% w/w. Also contains: Methyl Hydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl Hydroxybenzoate (E216), Lanette WaxWax blockage
Wax blockage in the ear SX, Potassium CitrateCitrate of magnesia, CitricCitric acid-sodium citrate Acid, Perfume HT52, Water.

Left it on the the instructed time, although 24 hours later I feel hot in the face, but do not have a temperature. Also the liquid did not come incontact with my face. I have no rash or other symptoms.

Is this an allergic reaction to Quellada-M Liquid? Or coincidence?

I have also been sitting in my bedroom where painting has been taking place, spending a large part of the day and obviously night with the paint smell, although im not sure if this can cause this reaction, just thought id explain my surrounding as best I can.

It is not a typical allergic reaction.  I would try it again before calling it an allergy.  If you continue to have the same reaction, you should probably avoid the product,  If  it doesn't happend again, it probably was caused by something else.  There isn't anything very strong or caustic in the ingredients you listed, so I'm inclined to think that it was a coincidence.   But, if the same occurs again OR a rash, etc.  Stop using it!
