feces bulging into vaginal wall

I am 32.
Extreme constipation for over a year. Went to dr given pres for cons but didnt help.
Stomach bloated. I pass a lot of gas.
When i have a bm i have to press onto area between agina and anus (perinium??) to guide the feces out.
BIG CONCERN is i cannot fit a tampon in when i have to have a bm as it bulges into the wall of my vagina. My hubby says he can feel a bulge when having sex EVEN though i have no urge to have a bm.
I did go to doctor the other day and am booked for a gasto doctor.

Just wondering if it is normal for feces to bulge into vaginal wall.

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would examine you and check for a rectoceole.  This is basically a hernia of the back(bottom) wall of the vagina.  It can be caused by childbirth or by contstipation.  It is fairly easy to correct with a minor surgical procedure called a rectoceole repair.  I would ask you to address the constipation issue first though, so the hard stool didn't cause a break down of the repair.
