genital disorder

I am 21 years and sexually active. Have been with a single partner since a year. 3 months ago i had a urine infection which was treated with a two day dosage of Urispas as prescribed by my gyn. Now, for 1 month i have been having an on and off pain while passing urine. 2 days back i discovered 2 silvery patches on both side inner labia. It causes a little itching and burning at times. Also at the same time my boyfriend had peeling skin and rash on his penis head and inner skin. We had sex 3-4 days back. It was a little painful. Could you suggest something as i want a hint before i meet my gyn again. A prompt reply would be appreciated.

Thank you for your prompt advice. Just one more query, what do you think will work better-an ointment/cream or an oral pill??

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that you may have a yeast infection.  That is common after taking antibiotics and can affect your partner too.  I would suggest getting one of the over-the-counter yeast treatments and using as directed.  Your partner can get something similar for "jock itch".
IF you both don't get better within a few days, you should discuss the issue with your ob/gyn who may at that time elect to run some tests.
Good luck!
