HI ABOUT 6 MONTHS AGO I HAD A MISCARRIAGE AND I WENT TO THE HOSPITAL WHILE I WAS BLEEDING AND AFTER MY I THOUGH MY MISCARRIAGE WAS COMPLETE (BECAUSE I STOP BLEEDING) I NEVER WENT BACK TO CHECK MY CERVIX TO CONFIRM IF IT WAS COMPLETE OR NOT I HERD OF SOME WOMEN HAVING AN INCOMPLETE MISCARRIAGE WERE SOME OF THE FETAL TISSUE STAYS IN THE CERVIX IM JUST SCARED IF THIS COULD HAPPEN TO ME ITS BEEN AWHILE AND I'VE HAD MY PERIOD A FEW TIMES SINCE THEN BUT I WANTED TO ASK SOMEONE JUST TO BE SURE THANKS! Usually if there is any retained tissue, the woman will know it because  there wil be continued bleeding, discharge, or even fever.  Women had miscarriages for hundreds of years before doctors invented the D&C procedure, so Mother Nature is pretty good at finishing off the job in most cases.

I would suspect you are OK, especially since you have started having your periods again, but if you have concerns, an ultrasound is the best way to find out for sure that the uterus is empty and healthy.

It never hurts to get a check up and a PAP, so I would definitely encourage you to do that!
