information needed please

hi,i had a HSG on the 12th may and was told my right tube is blocked.
i was told not to have sex for 3 days after my HSG so on the 4th day me and my partner had intercourse. 19th may i was due my period but have not come on plus ever since my HSG the left side has been cramping ...is this normal?

Hi!
The first thing to do is a pregnancy test. I ALWAYS recommend that.  If that is negative, it may simply be that your cycle is delayed this month.  The cramping after the hsg is fairly normal and can be due to irritation from the dye.  If the pregnancy test is positive, I would want to rule out a tubal pregnancy though, certainly.
If the cramping doesn't get better, a call to your doctor would be a good idea, sometimes old infection can be activated by an hsg, and you might need antibiotics.

thanks for your reply.
i went back to the hospital on 1st june who sent me for a blood preg test as 2 hpt said negative,im waiting for results before i can take antibiotics. But i came on 2nd june still going to wait for results befor taking anties :)
