Hi!
Its hard to say!  The most common things we see in that area are:
in-grown follicles--like little pimples.  also, sebaceous cysts---plugged up oil glands, also, condylomata (genital warts).  With something like that, its always best to have someone take a look!  If it doesn't go away soon, make an appointment!

Good luck!

I just had something like that taken care of recently. If the lump is under the skin but sort of raised and red it could be like she said a form of cyst. If it leaks anything or has a defined center where it leaks and is warm and tender to touch then what it most likely is is a Abcess (abscess) or a Boil which are forms of cysts. They often last a long time and dont go away on their own so many doctors will prescribe you an antibiotic, like an amoxecillan or a variant of it, and if it doesnt go away then they have to drain it to help. Its sort of an irritated follicle or pore that becomes infected and fills with a pus sort of liquid. They have the structure of a cyst so they dont drain easily on their own and when they do it takes a long time.

If it is a lump raised up sort of mushroom like to wear its on the skin not so much in it then it is a genital wart. there are many causes and ways to take care of them but those involve testing and such.

A good way to handle this is to take into account whether you are sexually active and if you have contracted anything from a partner and see your doctor about getting antibiotics if it is a Abcess (abscess)/Boil or treatments if it is a genital wart.

Good luck!
