menstruel irregularities and infertility

I am 26 years old ,I don't have children  , no contraception pills( we were using condom  )  , my periods are usually regular  every 28-29 days and last 5-6 days .I don't know what happen,I got my periods july 13th then august 24th and nothing since  (I have never  had this problem )
my doctor said I'm not pregnant and I have to wait until october 21st ( 60 days without periods ) and she will prescribe for me a provera  ,test result for TSH and ,prolactin both normal
what could be the reason for this sudden irregularities( is it an oavarien disorder, does ultra sound necessary), I want to have a baby what should I do,

Hi!
Its good that your laboratory values are normal. It seems likely that your normal cycles will resume spontaneously since they were previously so regular.  Sometimes extra stress or a little weight gain/loss can wreak havoc.  If you were my patient, I would consider "boosting" your ovaries with Femara or Clomid.  First I would induce a period with Prometrium, and then use Femara to stimulate ovulation with the next cycle.
That may be enough to cause your normal cycles to resume, or it might be necessary to continue to use the medications until you became pregnant.
