myoma and pregnancy

I was told I have a 13 milimeter myoma at the back of my uterus plus my cervix shows inflammation even if my pap smear test was clean. I just got married and looking forward to have a baby. Can I have a baby? Am I at risk?

Hello,

Whether a fibroid impacts fertility or a pregnancy is related to their number, size and location; and even then it is not always predictable how they might impact a pregnancy.  What you describe is a tiny myoma that is unlikely to affect a potential pregnancy.

Best regards,

Dr. Downing
