perios after IUD removal, is it a period?

ok, so i got my period somewhere on march 16 or something, but then two days ago i,e 5th april i got it back again, the period is like monthly period, it isnt light, it is ok like a normal period. so i decided to go to the doc and get my copper IUD taken out, and i did, so what i want to know now is ,
is this thing whats going on now my regular period?  or it is something else? and can i start talking birth pills as soon as my 5th day starts? and can i mate with my husband? or is it dangeruos?

so if this isnt my period, then when again should i expect my real reiod to come where i can start taking birth control. please clarify if this is my period or not please, i want to know when i can take my birth control, i really need to know, coz hahah my husband is starving poor thing LOL

i could have asked my doc, but i tried calling her, but she isnt in station, she s gone outta the city so i thought id ask here, please help me out :D

Hi!
If you were my patient, I would advise you that you could consider this bleeding episode to be your period, and start your pills.  The birth control pills take 2-4 weeks to become effective though, so, if you do want to be intimate with your husband, and if you don't want to become pregnant, you could have intercourse, but use a condom or other back up method.
