preg test
how long should you wait to take a preg test? My period is spose to come on the 16th or 17th but i want to take one asap.

Hi!
The Clear Blue First Response test can be positive as early as 4-5 days BEFORE your period is due. So, if your period is due on the 16, you could take the test as early as the 11th or 12th. If you were my patient, and got a negative result, I would ask you to repeat the test in another week. One othere alternative is to have a blood test done. That should be as good as the First Response test, or better.

you need to wait til your periods acually due to take a hpt. a blood test can tell you slightly sooner..and yes you could take a early test but those are like 5 days before..but the actual success rate of women who get an accurate reading anything before their misssed period is very low and its a total waste of money.
