had a tubal done 8 years ago what does it mean when you are spotting every other day?

The first thing to do is always a pregnancy test.  It probably ISNT that, but we always need to check--even after a tubal. The next thing I would look at if you were my patient, is an ultrasound of the uterine lining.  I'll bet it is very thick.  If so, and you were under 35, I would give you progesterone to clean it out.  If so and you were over 35, I would want to do a biopsy of the lining.  I would also want to do a pap smear to rule out something like a polyp or fibroid too.  Bottom line--you should get in to see your MD!
