rubella virus? not vaccinated in childhood.

one of my frd ended up with abortion at 4th month. then she found she is rubella virus positive. i did search abt it. i cloundnt find much detail. it all says that rubella cause miscarriage and birth difect. but if she will take vaccine now would it work? cos she wasnt vaccinated at childhood for that. she ll be fine after that. and could she can concieve (conceive) again without any risk?

It is possible to do a rubella titre to check for immunity.  This is typically done at every first prenatal visit, for instance.  So it would make the most sense for your friend to be tested to see if she is immune (likely she is) in which case she doesn;t need the vaccine and can concieve (conceive) without worry.  If she in non-immune then she should definitely receive the vaccine (which by the way cannot be given DURING pregnancy).

              thanks for your answer. but still i have some doubt. how could be know that she is immune? she had been already got that virus. so would vaccine work? and why she had misscarriage before? is there some other way to minimise the risk factors?
