small itching bump on labia minora

While I was in the shower today I noticed a small bump on my labia minora. Probably the size of a green bean. It itches a little and is pinker in color, but it isn't sore or hurts. I am 20 years old and I've been sexually active for 2 years now. I don't think it is an STD because I am in a monogamous relationship and we always use condoms during sex. However, I'm afraid it might be a sebacous cyst. I'm hoping it will go away if I keep the area dry and clean. But what if it doesn't? What if it gets bigger? Can anyone help me diagnose what this is and what I should do? I don't want to go to a gynecologist because I'm too shy. Please help!

Hi!
First of all, if you are sexually active, you should really strongly consider going to see a good gynecologist.  Sometimes moms have good doctors so you might ask yours.
We really are all that bad!

As for the bump, it is most likely a swollen gland--possibly a sweat gland or oil gland.
Most of the time those "bumps" resolve on their own after several weeks. If it isn't going away, or if it is getting bigger or becomes painful, you really should get a check up.

Hope this helps!
