spotting perimenopausal?

spotting perimenopausal?

Hello  i am 51 years old.  I have had perimenopause symptoms for a few months including, headaches, night sweats and bad irritability.  About 6 weeks ago i noticed  some pelvic pain unrelated to menstrual cycle.  I had a normal period but then spotted a tiny bit for a few days around the time i would ovulate.  My period cane 21 days later instead of 26 and was normal to light.  The pain seems to be better but still there and i have made a gyno appt for next week.  I had a full gyno check up with  pap and mammo in february and had a pelvic a few weeks ago and all felt fine according to doc.  I am very anxious about this...i know the horrible things it could be but could it just be perimenipause?

Hi!
Pain is not usually a typical symptom of the perimenopause.  I'm glad you are going to be checked.  I suppose it it possible that yuo have a cyst on your ovary.  Bowel problems are also very frequently confused with "female" problems, so be certain that you are taking your fiber and drinking sufficient water!
Pain that gets better on its own is rarely serious, and I certainly hope whatever is causing your pain is not serious either.

Good luck!
