Hi!
There is an easy way to find out if you are pregnant! Just take a pregnancy test!  It may be negative though, because it sounds more like a hormone imbalance to me.  Many people with irregular periods develop a build up in the lining of the uterus.  Eventually when the lining gets thick enough, they start spotting, or even heavy bleeding, or clotting.
If you came to see me, I would check a pregnancy test first.  Next we would do an ultrasound.  If the lining is thick as I suspect, I would do a biopsy (If you are over 40) and give you progesterone to clean out the tissue.  This usually generates a very heavy period, but then you can start fresh.  We would then need to decide how to keep the build up from coming back again--Mirena IUDs are very popular and work great!  Birth control pills work well too!
Hope this is helpful!
Good luck!
