urine streep

I was admitted to hospital 5 months ago with pelvic infection following a D&C procedure. (7 nite stay)
I asked another gyno to look over my records from my hospital stay.
He informed me that I tested positive for Urine streep.   Looking for explaination of this term.
I am 49 years old and had one child 17 years ago.

Hello,

It sounds like you had bacteria found in your urine from a urine culture.  Depending upon the amount grown out This is something for which you may or may not need treatment.  

Strep is short for streptococcus.  This is a species of bacteria of which there are many different types.  Some types (or strains) of strep are commonly found in the body, some can cause significant illness.

I have a continuation question from above.   Again, I was admitted to hospital following D&C for a 7 night stay.   I have been trying to find out what "germ/bacteria" I was diagnosed with, but yet no one can seem to tell me this.   Shouldn't that be a question to which I can get an answer?
