when can i get pregnant again?

I have been on the Depo shot since my son was 2 wks old. The last time I got my shot was March of 2011. How long does it take for the shot to wear off? How long do I need to wait till I can get pregnant again? I was told 6 months but I think that just seems like a long time. My son is now 19 1/2 months old now and I don't want to wait too long to have another child.

Hi!
There is no reason why you can't get pregnant as soon as your periods return.  The depo shot is different for everyone and for some, it wears off right away. For others it can take up to 18 months.  If you have resumed having regular cycles, you are probably ovulating and can go ahead and "try".  You may wish to confirm by using ovulation predictors.

hi i'm 20 years old. my last period were in 16th august 2011.so when will the pregnancy test  be positive and when i have to do a test.we have together-ed in 19th august an we are searching for the result.I WOULD LIKE to have a test on 27th.will it be positive

I have been on the depo shot since march 2010 when my daughter was born and that has been 18 months ago. I just missed my august shot and have been feeling quezzy, dizzy, and tired all the time and i have been having headaches. i took 2 tests already and both were negative but i feel that i am pregnant. what do u think
